Our Story
Inspired by an artist who saw beauty in everyday moments, Vincent’s brings that same spirit to your table. Art on the walls, jazz in the air and fresh flavours on your plate come together in our garden in Candidasa. Since 2004, we’ve welcomed guests to share good food, warm company and evenings that become favourite memories.
Why the name
Our story began in January 2004, with a name inspired by Vincent van Gogh and a vision of creating a restaurant with its own soul. A place where creativity reaches beyond the paintings on the walls and into the atmosphere, the food and the welcome. Every dish is prepared with care, entirely from fresh ingredients, bringing our passion for good food to your table.
We are proud to have received Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Award for several years running, including once again in 2026.
Some places have a little magic about them. Just 100 metres from Candidasa’s enchanting lotus lagoon, Vincent’s brings together art, music and exceptional food.
What we care about
Relaxed jazz by great artists, rather than the rock and pop you hear in so many places around Bali. On Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings the music is live around the grand piano.
A relaxed European kitchen with French, Greek and Italian influences, served side by side with Balinese dishes for anyone who wants a taste of the island.
Carved wood, alang-alang roofs and a tropical garden. The restaurant carries the character of Karangasem, the East Bali regency we call home.
Our team

Every table in the garden has its own story. My job is making sure each one ends the night happy.

I know which table catches the sea breeze and which one catches the music best. Just ask me.

A good cocktail here should taste like Candidasa at sunset: a little sweet, a little salty, never rushed.

When the jazz starts and the candles are lit, I move quietly and keep your glass full.

From the first welcome at the gate to the last goodnight, nobody should ever wait too long.

Our fish comes in from the Candidasa boats every morning. I just try not to get in its way.

I cook the way my mother taught me: fresh spices, ground by hand, and plenty of patience.

European classics with a Balinese soul. Every plate from my station should look as good as the garden.

Fire, a little smoke and fresh lemongrass. That is the whole secret of my grill.

Dessert is the last thing you remember, so I make sure it is the sweetest part of your evening.

Finding the right wine for your dinner is like the band finding the right song. It changes everything.

I learned my English from our guests, and they learned a little Balinese from me. That is Vincent's.

Fresh lime, local arak and a smile. Nothing leaves our bar without all three.

I welcome every guest as if they were coming to my family's home, because here, they are.

Our sambal is made fresh every afternoon. If it is not spicy enough, come and tell me.

My day starts at the morning market. The best dishes begin with choosing the best ingredients.

Hundreds of shallots, chillies and garlic every day. Every good dish starts on my chopping board.

I am the youngest in the kitchen, learning every day from the best cooks in Candidasa.
Thank you to every guest who has shared a table with us since 2004. We hope to welcome you soon.
